Judy Williams

Judy Kay Williams, 58 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Hamilton Medical center following two months of declining health. Judy was a very loving and caring person. She always had a smile and never met a stranger. She could meet someone only one time and see them again years later and call them by name. Because of this, she made many friends and was loved dearly. Over the years she participated in numerous Special Olympics, where she earned many medals. Her favorite way to spend time was bowling with friends on Saturdays. She made many yearly trips to Columbus to bowl in competitions where she often brought back trophies and medals. Judy had the opportunity to go and visit many places most people would never see, but enjoyed just being at home with her family most of all. Although no one would want to take her from her home in Heaven, she will be loved and missed more than any words can express. She was a member of Parker’s Gap in Ringgold. Judy was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Williams, Jr. and three sisters, Sue Williams, Allison Fuller and infant Vicky Williams. She is survived by her mother, Rubye Crumley of Calhoun; one brother and sister-in-law, Anthon amd Cathy Williams of Chatsworth; two nephews and their wives, Jeff and Analia Williams of Charleston, SC and Tony and Sabrina Williams of Calhoun; great nieces and nephew, Camilla Sousa, Haagan and Ester Williams of Charleston, SC, and Taylor, MaKailean and Jessye Williams of Calhoun. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral services for Judy Kay Williams will be conducted Saturday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Tony Williams and Rev. Greg Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Sam Pilcher, Scott Pilcher, Mark Pilcher, Renia Williams, Kenneth Charvet, and Mark Cornett. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Saturday at 1:00pm. Lamar Dean and Larry Pilcher will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday evening during the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm.
